This housing provides protection to the boards and foredge of the book. When on the shelf the book shoe becomes almost invisible so it won’t disturb the look of a beautiful library or hide an attractive spine.
The in-built text block support will help prevent the text block from dropping and distorting the spine, which is very common, especially with heavier books.
